One Week into school and store

Well, the first week of school is complete. The girls are having a great time reconnecting with their friends, as well as making new ones. Macy struggled her first week with getting in trouble for being a chatterboxon a daily basis...not that I am really surprised lol :) However, today I am a very proud mommy to report that her teacher never once had to get on to her! She even brought home a certificate of good behavior....she said "I really worked hard on not talking today!" Way to go Macy!! :) Madison as always is the perfect student. Right now her biggest battle is getting her allergies under control....but I think the Claritan is actually going to work! She LOVES school and her teacher!
So, Macy got a bike with training wheels....Madison's old one wasn't working great. Thank you to Amanda for the hand-me-down bike :) Anyways, tonight we decided to go on our first ride with it...which she did awesome. However, I decided to walk a mile while the girls rode. We were about 3/4 mile done, when Macy was also done..."my legs are soo tired!!" I guess I should have thought about the fact that this was truly her first time on a bike. lol Needless to say, she fell to sleep quickly!
The first week of the store is also complete with an encouraging first week. There were some really great days, with a SLOW Sunday. However, not bad for the first week! The week ended with Aaron having a bunch of guys there for his fantasy football draft....now I see why the store really is needed :) As for me, we are staying busy....which make me nervous when winter acutally hits! It is hard to believe that the new tower will be opening in 2 months...we are all very excited!!
Well, that wraps up the last week at the Krause house. I hope all is well with everyone else!!!

Opening Day

Big day today for the Krause family...Firehouse Subs finally opened!!! It has taken about a year for this process...a very long year...but God a good and it has finally happened! We had a family and friends day last Saturday that was more of a training process for the new staff, and they did well. Today, the first customer came right at 10A :) As you see Aaron got balloons from me and my parents...wow great minds think alike! Also, today was the first day of school for the kids. They both woke up on their own at 6am and got themselves dressed all on their own...oh if this would last all year :) Madison is in 2nd grade this year, and Macy is in K5...they both had a blast today! The new school's campus is beautiful, and we are thankful that God provided this for the children. When asking Macy how she did today, she said "I only talked a little." Well, if that is true, than she had a GREAT day lol

Well, it has been a bit since my last blog...having to get used to this :) We got back from our trip to FL a little over 1 week ago. The day after we flew home, I came down with strep throat....yes I was the one to get it! lol I can honestly say it was the worst case of strep I have had, and forgot how miserable it feels to have high fevers! It kept me in bed for about 3 days, but after prednisone and a z-pack I was feeling better. I then completed the week by working 2 days, of which I still wished I was on vacation. lol It was good to see my friends, though.

Aaron has been busy with Firehouse. They are trying hard for the 17th of August as the opening date, but it may be a few days after. He officially is done with his current job at the only Firehouse open here in the valley as of yesterday. This week will be filled with hiring and getting all the table ready for the store...alot of assembly with that!

Madison and Macy are ready for school to start....so am I :) Right now they are cleaning up their toys while trying to sneak in Chronicles of Narnia. Macy is trying the "my legs are too tired to walk" line to try to get out of the cleaning. Poor Mads, she really does get the raw end of the deal when it come to cleaning. Joys of a 5 year old helping you! Well, that about sums up our past week. Hope all is well with everyone else!
